Board Appointment

Peter Duthie, Chair of Exposure, is pleased to announce that Brandy Dahrouge has been appointed to the Festival’s Board.

“Brandy brings to Exposure a wealth of knowledge as a photographer, educator and citizen of the world,” said Duthie. “We are privileged to have such a capable individual joining what we consider to be the most dynamic and thought-provoking photography festival in Western Canada.”

Brandy Dahrouge - Bio
A photographer, artist and educator based in Canada, Brandy was born in Calgary. She grew up on the prairies and first ventured out into the world as a 17-year-old exchange student to Kathmandu, Nepal. This experience of living in another culture instilled a life-long passion for exploring. Upon her return to Canada, she studied classical piano performance and earned a scholarship to attend the Kodály Pedagogical Institute of Music in Kesckémet Hungary. After performing, travelling, and teaching for several years, she returned once again to Calgary to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Calgary. She later worked as a photographer at The Banff Centre, before travelling to Sydney, Australia on scholarship to complete a Master of Fine Arts degree at the College of Fine Arts, University of New South Wales.
